Premier League-Week 4 |
The Premier League is taking a familiar patern after week 4, Taylor is at the tiop, 2 points clear of Mervin King, James Wade is rooted at the bottom with just 1 point.
Taylor defeated Barneveld by 8 legs to 2, but in all fairness, it wasn't a good match, Taylor only managed 18 scores of 100 or more, Barney, just 18, Taylor marches on, Barney slips down to second from bottom of the table, and looks to be finding it dificult to concentrate for a long period of time,if he is going to make the top four, knockout stage, he has to find form that will hols together for at least 14 legs.
King showed why he is at number 2 in the table, defeating Jenkins by 8 legs to 5, Baxter once again proved why he is in the 8 man league, with a good win over Simon Whitlock - 8-6. Whitlock is throwing good darts, he is quickly finding his feet in the big arena's,and we must remember, darts Australia, has never been to the heights of the PDC, from crowds of 200 to 10,000 plus is not easy, Simon has his sights set on the top 4, and with 3 points in the bag, he has every chance of making it.
Lewis once again averaged over 100 per throw, the only player to do so, he was down to a in form James Wade, but his high scoring maximums turned the match, and he can be very pleased with the 7-7 draw, Wade is making a big push to get off the bottom of the table, he is the defending champion, but like Barney, he is finding it hard to keep his concentration for the whole match, he know's it only takes one win to make a move upwards, but that one win is proving hard to find.
